Aldbury Nowers Nature Reserve to The Ridgeway – Chiltern Hills
From Aldbury Nowers Nature Reserve to The Ridgeway deep in the Chiltern Hills. Aldbury Nowers is a 19.7 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in the Chiltern Hills which intersects with The Ridgeway national trail and takes you along the summit.
Aldbury Nowers is managed by the Wildlife Trust and over 30 species of butterflies can be observed, the largest in the local area. Best time to view the butterflies is in spring. Families with young children would love exploring the nature reserve. However, if you’re an experienced hiker, you can walk from Aldbury Nowers Nature Reserve to the Ivinghoe Beacon along The Ridgeway national trail.
