Exploring Cissbury Ring, a Neolithic Settlement, Wild Ponies and Panoramic Views
The Cissbury Ring is a hilltop fort from the Neolithic period. A beautiful Sussex landmark in the South Downs soaked in history with plenty of hidden stories. The panoramic views are outstanding almost surreal in nature. The hike around the Cissbury Ring is one not to be missed in the South Downs.
The hike around this ring is about 2 miles / 3 km, and it opened up my eyes to some stunning, hidden history of the Neolithic times. This secluded wilderness is very peaceful, a place you can walk among wild ponies and enjoy the views. I, thoroughly recommend you spend at least half a day exploring the Cissbury Ring.
