Post torrential rain hike as woodland turns into a swampland

Happy New Year 2020 to all my subscribers and viewers. Hope you’ve had a great start to the year. I know for me it’s been awesome, but it has certainly been very, very wet. Shouldn’t we be experiencing snow, ice or at least some frost being winter? All I’ve experienced is torrential rain and mild temperatures. Talking about torrential rain, in this post torrential rain hike video you can see what was a woodland turn into a swampland.

  • Cash / Credit Card

  • Spare change in coins

  • Pen / Notebook (if you like to take notes)

  • Camera / Phone (great picture opportunities)

  • Layered clothing (stay away from cotton in winter)

  • Spare change of clothes (in winter & in case they get wet!)

  • Or bring waterproof jacket / trouser

  • Change of shoes (don’t want a muddy car!)

  • Sunglasses

  • Bottle of water or hydration pack (must keep hydrated)

  • Picnic / Food / Snacks

  • A day pack to carry everything (or hydration pack)

  • Bring the dog and the family too!
