Hiking in London – Just a short distance from London in the northwest suburbs, you can go on an amazing, short hike within the Merry Hill Woodlands. An absolutely superb natural area within a short distance from London between the historic town of Watford and Stanmore, Oxhey and Bushey Village.

  • Pen / Notebook (if you like to take notes)

  • Camera / Phone (great picture opportunities)

  • Binoculars (bird life is plenty)

  • Layered clothing (stay away from cotton)

  • Warm waterproof jacket / trousers

  • Woolly hat / Gloves / Spare pair of socks (in case they get wet!)

  • Sturdy hiking boots / Wellies

  • Sunglasses

  • Bottle of water (must keep hydrated)

  • Picnic / Food / Snacks

  • A day pack to carry everything

  • Bring the dog and the family too!
