4-MAN WOODLAND SHELTER, HIKE AND A 400 YEAR OLD OAK TREE (ASHRIDGE ESTATE, THE CHILTERNS)

It was the perfect micro-adventure in the Ashridge Estate. A crazy woodland shelter, lovely hike, a 400 year old oak tree and my trail dog in The Chilterns. Ashridge Estate is an absolutely beautiful place to be no matter what time of year.

  • Layered clothing (stay away from cotton in winter)

  • Warm waterproof jacket / trousers (check weather)

  • Woolly hat / Gloves / Spare pair of socks (in winter & in case they get wet!)

  • Sturdy hiking boots / Wellies

  • Bicycles (no cycle hire available)

  • Sunglasses

  • Bottle of water (must keep hydrated)

  • Picnic / Food / Snacks

  • A day pack to carry everything

  • Bring the dog and the family too!
